Zimbabwe repossessing unused land from black farmers

Zimbabwe has begun repossessing idle land from black farmers who benefitted from controversial land reforms two decades ago, Agriculture Minister Anxious Masuka said Wednesday. People whose farmland is lying unused and those who own multiple farms will lose land, he said.

Food Security: Nigeria Plans "Operation Feed Yourself"

Nigeria is considering an “Operation Feed Yourself” initiative to encourage the establishment of urban farms and small home gardens in the country. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said the initiative, which was part of efforts to address malnutrition in Nigeria, would be under the auspices of the National Economic Council and the National Council on Nutrition.
