US agency makes R152 million available to combat malnutrition in northern Nigeria
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has launched a two-year feeding scheme in the northern Nigerian states of Bauchi, Kebbi and Sokoto at a time when malnutrition is the single underlying cause of death in children under the age of five.

Food Security: Nigeria Plans "Operation Feed Yourself"
Nigeria is considering an “Operation Feed Yourself” initiative to encourage the establishment of urban farms and small home gardens in the country. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said the initiative, which was part of efforts to address malnutrition in Nigeria, would be under the auspices of the National Economic Council and the National Council on Nutrition.
